New England Patriots Provide Injury Update For Cam Newton

The New England Patriots have been dealing with a lot of injuries this season. Several key players had to miss a lot of time on the field. Veteran wideout Julian Edelman is still out, and he may not return by the end of the regular season. The Patriots have provided an injury update on veteran quarterback Cam Newton.

The 2015 NFL MVP is dealing with an abdomen injury. However, he suited up for the Week 13 game. The Los Angeles Rams are next on the list, and the team has an update on Newton’s status.

Patriots release another long injury report, including Cam Newton

The team released the final injury report for Week 14. Several players were listed questionable for the game. Newton was added to this list, too. We don’t really think that Newton will miss the game against the Rams. He was listed as questionable but NFL experts believe he will play Thursday. If Newton doesn’t suit up for the game, the Patriots will put second-year quarterback Jarrett Stidham under center.

In Week 13, Newton had 3 total touchdowns in the 45-0 win over the Los Angeles Chargers. He didn’t do much in the passing game and didn’t really use his arm a lot. However, his presence on the ground was more than notable.

Newton is not the only player on the Patriots’ injury report.

The Patriots added Ja’Whaun Bentley, Adam Butler, Byron Cowart, Kyle Dugger, Nick Folk, Lawrence Guy, Ryan Izzo, J.C. Jackson, Jakob Johnson, Jonathan Jones, Shaq Mason, Matthew Slater and J.J Taylor to the injury report. They are all questionable for the game.

Winning the game against the Rams would put the Patriots over .500 for the first time since Week 3. Players arrived in Los Angeles and head coach Bill Belichick even visited UCLA. The legendary coach will lead his team to another brilliant game. New England has a big chance to win this game, and Belichick is confident about his players. Let’s see how will they handle Los Angeles. Hopefully, Newton will suit up for the game and do more in the passing game.
