Patriots Assistant Coach Leaves and Creates Huge Dilemma

The New England Patriots staff lost another assistant coach. Quarterbacks coach Jedd Fisch accepted a job in Arizona, and he will now be the school’s head coach. Things can get really messy for the Patriots. They are losing an important member of the family, and Fisch’s departure may actually have a domino effect.

According to recent reports, offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels will be the Patriots’ quarterbacks coach, too. McDaniels has no problems with that because he has already handled this position in the past.

Is this the beginning of a new era for the Patriots? This move may be the first of a series of changes within the organization.

The Patriots assistant coach may not be the only one to leave the team

Is there any chance for McDaniels to leave the team this offseason? Some NFL experts pointed their finger at McDaniels conservative playcalling in 2020. This doesn’t change the fact that McDaniels has done a really good job during his time with the Patriots. NFL teams took notice of McDaniels’ success, and he can easily get a chance to coach his own team. He was coaching the Denver Broncos in 2009 but didn’t have a great success on the field. This has happened to many coaches across the league. McDaniels may have better luck in his next job. Bill Belichick went through the same thing. He was fired from his previous team and then became the best head coach in the NFL.

We have every right to believe that McDaniels is the next Bill Belichick. He may succeed the legendary coach. But, Belichick won’t retire in the near future. He is doing a beautiful job at the sidelines and the Patriots need him to win more games. This leads us to the following question. Will McDaniels wait for Belichick to retire?

McDaniels almost accepted a new job in 2018. He was all set to become a head coach of the Indianapolis Colts. If things take another direction, McDaniels may end up accepting a new job.

New England has to find a replacement for Fisch. Replacing McDaniels would be a lot harder than you can imagine. He has a key role in the organization.
