Rajon Rondo Reveals One Thing He Picked Up From LeBron James

Rajon Rondo joined the Atlanta Hawks in free agency, but he will always remember the lessons he learned from his former teammate, LeBron James. Rondo had a big role on the Lakers roster, and he will probably have a similar impact this season. The veteran won his first ring with the Boston Celtics. In the 2019-20 season, Rondo won a title with the Lakers. He helped the team win the first title in a decade. It was the 17th championship win in team history.

Rondo appeared on All The Smoke to talk about his game with LeBron.

“It was a hell of an experience,” the veteran said. “I was learning, on the fly and on the court. Picking his brains, studying his body at work, the way he moves. To be able to play with him and pick his brains daily and understand his discipline on what he’s done to be able to become so dominant on year 17 it was fun to watch. It was great to be next to and understand that this is elite. I’ve played with so many elite players at a high level, I would say more than 15 first-ballot Hall of Famers. So to see the best of the best, it was a hell of a ride these past couple of years of just watching him.”

Rajon Rondo respects LeBron

Not everyone gets a chance to play with LeBron. Rondo used the opportunity he was given. He soaked up pretty much everything he found on the way.

Rondo played in the NBA for 14 years. He will try to use this experience to win another ring. Today, he will be leading the young Hawks team to the playoffs. Atlanta hasn’t made the postseason since the 2017 season.

In LA, Frank Vogel used Rondo’s leadership skills to lead the team. LeBron had words of praise for his teammate, and the same applies to Anthony Davis. They will be playing on different teams now, and it will be nice to see them play against one another at some point in the season.
