Report: Giannis Antetokounmpo Turned Down Major Offer From Lakers’ LeBron James

Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo turned down an attractive offer from Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James. A lot of people talked about Giannis’ departure from the Milwaukee Bucks this offseason. There were too many rumors about him leaving his current team and teaming up with his brother in Los Angeles. Well, the Greek Freak did commit to the Bucks in the long run. Truth is, Giannis didn’t even think of doing anything that’s related to the four-time NBA champion. He would never work out with LeBron or appear in Space Jam 2.

“I want to explain how important that is to people out there,” NBA insider Chris Haynes said on the Posted Up podcast. “Giannis doesn’t work out with anybody that’s not on his team. He doesn’t do that. He’s turned down working out with LeBron James and turned down being part of the ‘Space Jam 2’ movie. He doesn’t do that.”

NBA fans would be super excited to see Giannis work out with LeBron. Seeing him in Space Jam 2 would be really awesome. But, Giannis has different plans for his future, and none of that includes LeBron.

Giannis Antetokounmpo has nothing to do with LeBron James

Giannis may not join the Lakers in the near future. But this doesn’t break the ties he has with the storied franchise. His brother Kostas is a Laker and he also got his championship ring. Giannis delivered a big message for his brother during the ring ceremony.

Ironically, Giannis has better stats than his brother Kostas. But, Kostas has a ring.

Many would agree that Kostas would be the Antetokounmpo brother to retire with the most rings. Giannis decided to stay with the Bucks, and this decision actually affects his chances to win a ring. He could have joined Stephen Curry in the Golden State Warriors or Jimmy Butler in the Miami Heat. Giannis stayed loyal and moved on with the Bucks.

Milwaukee has plenty of talent. They had Jrue Holiday and finished with the best regular-season numbers in 2019-20. Things were pretty rough in Orlando, and not every NBA team thrived inside the bubble. The Bucks had a disappointing game in Orlando and Miami smashed them.
