Stephon Gilmore’s Wife Calls Out JC Jackson Pro Bowl ‘Narrative’

Many New England Patriots fans say that JC Jackson should have been added to the AFC’s 2020 Pro Bowl roster. Jackson had eight interceptions this season and he is definitely the ultimate cornerback. These interceptions are actually NFL-high, and everyone knows it.

Stephon Gilmore earned his spot on the roster. Did he steal Jackson’s spot? We have seen people talk about this. Maybe Jackson deserved the spot over his teammate.

Gilmore’s wife, Gabrielle, decided to share her take on the situation. She is fed up with these comments and the narrative surrounding her husband.

JC Jackson deserves his Pro Bowl nod

Ben Volin from The Boston Globe tweeted that the wrong Patriots cornerback made the Pro Bowl.

“Stephon Gilmore’s season was better than his stats, but the wrong Patriots CB got selected to the Pro Bowl,” Volin wrote. “Teams are going for 4th down — and converting — like never before in NFL history. Has it also led to more safeties?”

Gabrielle retweeted the thought to push back on the notion. She is convinced that her husband deserves his spot in the Pro Bowl.

Both Gilmore and Jackson had great performance and are definitely deserving of the big award. Jackson had better numbers this season. Gilmore played well, and he was dealing with many other issues related to the game.

Jackson’s reaction to the Pro Bowl snub was definitely interesting. But, he believes there’s room for success. “I feel like I had an OK season,” the cornerback said Thursday in a video conference. “I could have done much better. In some games, I could have played better, better performance. I’ll never get myself credit. I can be way better than I was this year, trust me. They haven’t seen nothing yet.”

Xavien Howard from the Miami Dolphins has more interceptions than Jackson. He is the only NFL player with more picks than his rival since the Patriots player entered the NFL a couple of years ago. Jackson has a 52.0 passer rating and ranks fourth with 200 snaps. In 2019, he led the NFL in this category.

Jackson lost out to Howard, Marlon Humphrey from the Baltimore Ravens, Tre’Davious White from the Buffalo Bills and Gilmore.

If you ask Jackson, the cornerback will say that he is getting ready for the game against the Buffalo Bills. He is well aware of his power on the field.
