Watch: LeBron James Hits Kobe Bryant-Like Shot Over Luka Doncic

Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James surprised everyone when he decided to pull out a nice shot over Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic. It was a beautiful shot, and it made people think of Kobe Bryant.

Doncic was guarding the king of basketball, and LeBron gave him the surprise of his life.

LeBron has been doing his shots throughout his 18-year career in the NBA. But, seeing him do this against Doncic was definitely amazing. LeBron will turn 36 later this month and it looks like age has nothing on him.

LeBron James’ shot over Luka Doncic confirms his greatness

The four-time NBA champion relies more on 3-pointers at this stage of his career. Beyond this, he has relied more on long 3-pointers. LeBron had 21 30-foot shots last season. He didn’t have more than 14 in a season before that. Shooting threes is much easier on the player’s body than hitting the rim, especially if these threes are open. The more possessions LeBron spends spacing the floor, the more energy he can keep for the moments in which he needs to be an attacker.

LeBron has pushed this approach in the first two games of the regular season. He took eight 3-pointers in each of his first two games LA played this season. These numbers are really impressive, and let’s not forget that he has played just 59 total minutes this season. LeBron had over 32 percent of his field-goal attempts on 3s last season. That’s a career high. How will things go this season? LeBron stands at 45.7 percent. It’s interesting to note that LeBron has never replicated a season. He changes his approach and game to support his teammates and his age.

This doesn’t change the fact that LeBron is the most aggressive pivot yet. Maybe this will be the best we will see from the superstar in his career in terms of elite 3-pointers.

The Lakers finished the second game of the regular season with a win despite the fact that they lost the season opening game to the Clippers.
