Watch: Video Resurfaces Showing What Bill Belichick Told Sean McVay After Thursday’s Game

The New England Patriots suffered a terrible loss to the Los Angeles Rams. It was a big blow for the Patriots team and it almost destroyed its chances to make the playoffs. Head coach Bill Belichick recognizes great potential and he congratulated Sean McVay on his big win.

The Patriots head coach met his rival at midfield, shook hands, and said a few simple words. Cameras caught the embrace, and now we know more about it.

“Great job. You killed us,” the Patriots head coach told McVay. “You had a great plan. You’ve got a good team, good luck.”

Let’s not forget that the New England Patriots smashed McVay’s team in Super Bowl LII. Quarterback Tom Brady and his team returned home with a big win. Well, McVay got his revenge. What’s better than a 24-3 win?

Instead of airing their ball out, McVay was focused on the running game. He trusted rookie running back Cam Akers, who went for over 170 yards on 29 carries. Akers had two receptions for 23 yards, adding about 200 yards of total offense.

Los Angeles had a strong defense, too. They held New England to 220 yards. The Rams also returned an interception for a touchdown, and New England couldn’t regain control in the first half of the game.

The Rams sit on top of the NFC West, and players have yet to win a game against the Seattle Seahawks.
New England has a 6-7 record, and most analysts blame veteran quarterback Cam Newton for the failure. Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels said Newton did everything they asked him to do. His running game was perfect but he wasn’t really successful in the passing game. This isn’t Newton’s best year when it comes to stats.

Patriots players will meet the Miami Dolphins. There’s still hope for them to make the playoffs. But, it depends on the performance on other NFL teams. Head coach Bill Belichick and his Patriots may miss the playoffs for the first time since TB12 tore his ACL. Hopefully, things will take a good turn for the Patriots.
