Anthony Davis Pinpoints Major ‘Threat’ To Lakers

The Los Angeles Lakers are almost done with the road trip. The Boston Celtics are next on their list. LeBron James and Anthony Davis won three road games with their teammates, but the Lakers lost two straight games. However, this isn’t the biggest concern at the moment. Los Angeles has a 14-6 record at this point of the regular season. This is one of the best records in the NBA. Lakers players are favorites to win the championship this season. Is there any major obstacle on their way?

Davis did an interview with Rachel Nichols from ESPN and talked about the current situation in the locker room. He touched several major topics, including the Brooklyn Nets’ performance these days. The Nets entered the regular season with Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving leading the team. The front office got James Harden a couple of weeks ago in an attempt to build a superteam. Is Brooklyn a threat?

AD praised the Nets for their scoring, saying they are “a good team.” If you ask Davis, he will say the Nets are favorites in the East. The addition of Harden sure changed everything.

“It’s definitely… it’s a threat,” Davis said. “They’re a team that can score, and score at will. They’re a good team. I think they’re the favorites in the East now ever since JH went over there. It’s gonna be a fun battle. Definitely a fun battle.”

Brooklyn has a 12-8 record in the regular season, ranking fourth in the East and second in the Atlantic Division. Brooklyn has a three-game winning streak as players celebrated back-to-back wins over the Miami Heat and one over the Atlanta Hawks.

Nothing changes the fact that Brooklyn gathered a group of talented players. But, they still have some holes to fill up. The Nets lack a quality center and this may affect their chances to make the top of the list. An early exit in the playoffs is not on their list, but the head coach has to address the biggest concern related to his roster. Let’s see how will things develop in Brooklyn.
