Anthony Davis Sells LA Mansion, Dealt Big Blow

In 2018, Los Angeles Lakers superstar Anthony Davis bought his LA mansion in the Westlake Village area. Many thought that this was a great sign for the Lakers fanbase. Davis was playing with the New Orleans Pelicans back them. However, he left the team and joined the Los Angeles Lakers.

In April, the Lakers big man put his mansion on the market for 7.995 million. This decision shocked many people. Davis was about to enter free agency with a player option on his contract. Why was he selling the home he had for 20 months.

This sale didn’t affect Davis’ role with the Lakers. He signed a five-year deal with the team. This deal will give him $190 million. Davis didn’t get the original $8 million and took a big hit. The house was sold for $6.6 million.

Realtor Jordan Cohen was in charge of the transaction.

Davis decided to get rid of the house. The five-bedroom mansion has eight bathrooms and Davis gave up on it.

“The Mediterranean mansion has everything the seven-time all-star could’ve needed. In addition to a movie theater, library and gym, there’s a full-size indoor basketball court with a scoreboard, skylights and a viewing box. A deck outside the court features a pair of slides that feed into a resort-style swimming pool below. Spanning 2.33 acres, the estate offers plenty of privacy tucked behind gates within the guard-gated community of North Ranch Country Club Estates. Indoor and outdoor cameras add to the security.”

It’s a nice place to live. This home is 40 miles from the Lakers practice facility and Staples Center.

Davis and his team are going after another title. He had a slow start of the season, averaging 19.8 points in the first five games. However, he was brilliant in Friday’s win over the San Antonio Spurs. Davis finished the night with 34 points, 11 rebounds, and five assists.

“We want him to shoot them,” Vogel said of Davis’s three-point shooting. “… Player development applies to all players on the team, not just the young players. We want all players to grow their games. And he took a big step I thought from two years ago into last year with his three-point shooting and we’re asking him to take another big step with regard to this year. So without those four 3s maybe we don’t win tonight.”
