Anthony Davis Takes a Shot at Lakers Defense After They Lose to Spurs

Los Angeles Lakers superstar Anthony Davis isn’t really happy with the Lakers defense. Lakers players put an end to the four-game winning streak. They returned home from the road trip and finished the game against the San Antonio Spurs with a loss. The Lakers big man seems to know the reason for this loss. Will Lakers head coach Frank Vogel agree with Davis on this one?

According to Davis, Lakers players need to be better with the defensive schemes coming out of the gate. He believes that the team didn’t play any defense and actually used a bad word to describe it.

Anthony Davis motivates Lakers defense

Los Angeles entered the game as one of the league’s best defensive teams. Truth is, the Lakers defense made some big mistakes in Thursday evening’s game.

Things were really evident from beyond the arc. Los Angeles allowed the Spurs to hit a very high percentage from 3-point range. Things were really bad in the first three quarters of the game.

The Lakers played great offense and had a chance to win the game. However, the shooting was terrible in the fourth quarter. Players hit just 20 points.

NBA experts wanted to see more of the intensity. Players had just eight fast-break points for the game. This is usually one of the biggest strengths.

Los Angeles will soon have a chance to repair the damage tomorrow night. They are playing against the Chicago Bulls. Hopefully, the team will find a way to shut down the mediocre team. Winning this game is a priority now. Players will have to get ready for another road trip.

LeBron James and AD may not be happy with the most recent performance. But, some of the players are still trying to fit in the Lakers system. Players had a really short offseason and almost no time to prepare for the long season. This is just the beginning of another season for the reigning champions, and they are ready to win the title again. This loss will motivate the Lakers defense to add some spice to the game.
