Lakers’ LeBron James Calls Out Cavaliers Staffer After Big Night

Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James returned to Cleveland and finished his game with an incredible performance against his former team. LA celebrated a 115-108 win and LeBron hit 46 points in the night. But, LeBron James had something to say about one Cavaliers staffer.

LeBron had enough motivation to win the game. But he sure had extra motivation later in the third quarter. LeBron didn’t reveal the name of the staffer who got excited about his missed shot, but sure had a good laugh at the moment.

“I know who he is. He’s part of the front office group,” LeBron said after the game. “He was really excited about me missing that shot, a little bit more extra than I would have liked, but he’s got to root for his team obviously and he showcased that, so I knew I had another quarter, and the fourth quarter is my favorite. The good thing for him, I only come here once.”

LeBron James boosts his points following the reaction of the Cavaliers staffer

LeBron has the power to provide great numbers. He is in his 18th season in the NBA and his game changed over the years. The four-time NBA champion hit 7 3-pointers against the Cavs and his percent jumped as high as 41.2%. LeBron’s best percentage from beyond the arc during his time with the Cavs was 36.7% in 2017-18.

“I’ve never put a ceiling on my potential. I’ve always wanted to continue to get better, and better, and better, to a point where I can also now dictate what the defense has to do and the defense can’t dictate what I’m supposed to do,” the Lakers superstar said. “It takes a long time if you want to be great at what you do. I understood that.”

Anthony Davis scored 17 points and 10 rebounds in the game. The Lakers big man enjoyed watching his teammate win.

“We get out the way,” he told media members of what he does when the GOAT is in that zone. “He’s at home.”

Lakers head coach Frank Vogel shared his thoughts on LeBron’s performance in the night.

“Obviously he wanted to win against his former team here and came out of the gates really strong,” Vogel said. “Really just great defensive energy, but the shot-making was just ridiculous, and just one of those nights for the ages for him.”
