Lakers Veteran Calls Out NBA Over Recent Fines to Players

The Los Angeles Lakers aren’t too happy about the most recent NBA fines. The NBA has already started fining players and one particular player is pretty frustrated. James Johnson, Cody Martin, and Caleb Martin got their fines for an altercation that happened in Wednesday’s game between the Dallas Mavericks and New Orleans Pelicans. Yes, the NBA has done this before, but these fines seem to go pretty high.

Lakers veteran Jared Dudley took to his Twitter to share his thoughts on the fines. He is not verry happy.

“I know NBA players make a lot of money but getting fined 40k and 25k with no punches being thrown is crazy.. You can get a tech, talk crazy to a ref, cussed him out and it’s only 2500.. But pushing a player body is 40 and 25k.. Naw bruh! It’s getting out of control.”

Dudley approves these fines, it’s just he doesn’t like the amount of money players have to pay.

The NBA doesn’t like seeing players fight in the middle of a game. These fines are just a prevention. Someone has to stop all the bad spirits on the court. They do have a function.

Lakers players aren’t getting any NBA fines

When it comes to Dudley, he didn’t get much playing time this season. The Lakers didn’t have the best start of the season. Fans enjoyed their wins over the Mavericks, Timberwolves and Spurs. But, LA lost the games against their city rivals and the Portland Trail Blazers.

Anthony Davis hasn’t played his best basketball. In 2019-20, AD led the team in scores. This time averages 19.8 points per game.

Lakers head coach Frank Vogel works on the right winning formula. Davis signed a five-year contract extension this offseason.

“I think we didn’t do a good enough job making sure he got in the offense the first half,” Vogel said. “We just got to do a better job of that. A little better in the second half.”

Well, LA has a lot to do right now. They need to act right.. Luckily, Lakers players won’t get their fines in the near future.
