LeBron James Helps The Community Of His Hometown Akron Again, Unveils His Next Big Plan

Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James contributes to his hometown Akron. This adds the finest details to his incredible portfolio. The four-time NBA champion is opening a job training and financial center in his hometown. Yes, LeBron is loyal to Akron.

The LeBron James Family Foundation confirmed the opening of a 60,000-square-foot venue. The House Three Thirty will offer financial literacy advice, job training and recreational activities for young people in the area.

“330” comes from the area code for the city. About 200,000 people live in the area. Akron hasn’t seen much light in the past decade, and people still struggle to survive the transition.

LeBron gives a brand new opportunity for people in Akron

House Three Thirty will be in full function in 2022. The venue features a dining area, coffee bar, and private card room. This is yet another successful project supported by LeBron’s foundation. The Lakers superstar opened the I Promise School in Akron (2018) and offered his I Promise Village transitional family housing (2019).

The venue will be available for everyone in Akron. It offers training in plumbing, heating and cooling, food service, merchandising, accounting, planting and other sectors.

“House 330 is going to be a sanctuary for our families,” LeBron said. “It’s going to be a place where all our families can grow and learn. This will be a hub for everything possible our families will need.”

The foundation’s executive director, Michele Campbell, was in contact with people in need and the whole process led to the opening of House Three Thirty.

“It really started, much like everything we do, from the ground up,” Campbell explained. “You have more intimate relationship when you have people living in your building 24/7. We started listening to some of the struggles with employment and job training and really digging deeper with our families. So we learned pretty quickly that the next part of the movement, if you’re to going to change the trajectory of a whole community, was we need that job-training piece.”

LeBron won’t stop here. He will do whatever it takes to support his hometown and the people who live in it.
