New England Patriots Predicted to Sign Wide Receiver to $50 Million Deal in the Offseason

The New England Patriots had an awful season and missed the chance to make the playoffs a couple of weeks ago. Head coach Bill Belichick will make a few moves in the next few months. Finding the right quarterback is a priority for the Patriots. According to recent reports, the Patriots are expected to sign a wide receiver in the upcoming offseason.

Belichick has to address the wide receiver and tight end positions in the NFL Draft. A beat writer is convinced that the Patriots will make a big move in the open market.

New England has been linked with Chicago Bears star Allen Robinson. Some even thought that the team would trade for Julio ones. Brian M. Hines from Pats Pulpit took a different route.

The Patriots are entering an important offseason

When asked about the Patriots’ offseason on the offensive side of the game, Hines made interesting prediction. He explained that the Patriots will offer Davis a four-year deal worth $50 million. It’s just the beginning for the Patriots organization.

Belichick and his team could easily use $12.25 million on a talented player. But, New England is not the only potential suitor for the talented wide receiver. The 210-pounder from Chicago has the most successful season in his career.

Davis has 6 receptions from breaking the mark he set in 2018. He has 55 yards away from crossing 1,000 for the very first time in his professional career. Davis has career-high 5 touchdown receptions.

First, the Patriots are expected to go after a quarterback. Veteran quarterback Cam Newton took the big role in 2020 but had too many struggles on the field. Belichick may make him compete with another quarterback. He made Newton do that this past summer. New England may also select a quarterback in the 2021 NFL Draft. There are so many options for the team, and they need to address them all.

The Patriots will enter an important offseason and some experts believe that Newton deserves a second chance with the team. He is an excellent leader and great professional. New England needs him on the field in 2021.
