NFL Experts Share Their Reactions To The Bill Belichick News

NFL fans are all focused on the game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cleveland Browns. However, some of the experts couldn’t really ignore the latest Bill Belichick news. Some of them even hope that this is fake news. The New England Patriots head coach is making headlines and it’s not good.

According to some reports, US President Donald Trump plans on awarding Belichick the Medal of Freedom.

“On Monday, Trump plans to award Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) the highest civilian honor,” Politico reported. “On Tuesday, he plans to visit Alamo, Texas, to visit a section of the U.S.-Mexico border wall. And on Thursday, Trump plans to award New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick the Presidential Medal of Freedom, according to a White House official. A spokesperson for the Patriots did not immediately respond to a request for comment.”

We all know that Belichick was a friend and supporter of President Trump in the past. He even sent him a letter on the eve of the 2016 presidential election. But, we can’t really say much about their current relationship.

President Trump decided to award the Patriots head coach the Medal of Freedom, and this makes everyone think that they are still friends.

Given the situation in the US Capitol, some experts and NFL fans say that Belichick should in no way accepr the honor. Others encourage Belichick to accept his award, suggesting that it comes from the President of the United States as an institution, not Trump himself.

Bob Ryan took to Twitter to share his thoughts. He even said that if Belichick accepts the Medal of Freedom, he is dead to him.

New England Patriots finished the regular season with a  7-9 record and that’s the worst losing record in Belichick’s time with the team. He is expected to make a lot of changes in the offseason and he will probably focus on his team. Belichick is not someone who chases awards. He is all-in when it comes to winning games, and we believe that he would stay out of the entire situation.
