Patriot Tweets What Everyone Is Thinking After Patrick Mahomes’ Injury

Veteran quarterback Patrick Mahomes left Sunday’s divisional-round playoff match against the Cleveland Browns due to an injury. The Kansas City Chiefs ruled Mahomes out of the game.  The medical staff evaluated the star quarterback for a concussion. Mahomes left the AFC Divisional Round game with 7:44 left in the third quarter after receiving a hard hit from Browns’ Mack Wilson. In other words, the Chiefs will have to move on without the veteran. The Chiefs ruled him out four minutes into the fourth quarter of the game. Kansas City had a 19-10 lead at that point of the game.

Backup quarterback Chad Henne replaced the superstar and led the team to a field goal six plays later in the game. The Chiefs extended their lead to 22-10. This was the advantage they took into the fourth quarter. Cleveland closed the gap to 22-17 when the Chiefs ruled out Mahomes. The veteran had to go into concussion protocol, and we are still waiting for more info on his case.

Veteran QB replaced Patrick Mahomes following his injury

This leads us all the way to the rest of the league. New England Patriots offensive tackle Jermaine Eluemunor made some interesting questions about Mahomes and his replacement. The Miami Dolphins was the first NFL team to offer Henne a deal in 2008. Today, he is a backup player for Mahomes.

“Had no idea Chad Henne was still in the NFL lol,” Eluemunor tweeted.

“Feel like with Mahomes having a bad ankle he shouldn’t be running in the first place,” the Patriots offensive tackle added.

Henne did a good job for the Chiefs and Mahomes’ absence wasn’t too obvious. In other words, the backup quarterback made things a lot easier for his team.

The Chiefs had a good game throughout the regular season. But, Mahomes is out and NFL experts are now worried about the team.

When it comes to Eluemunor, he finished the season in December. The New England Patriots missed the playoffs this season. They had a disappointing season, and head coach Bill Belichick is expected to make some changes to the current roster.
