Patriots’ Julian Edelman Delivers Message to Patriots Nation

The 2020 NFL season is over. Well, New England Patriots wideout Julian Edelman put an end to his season in October. It was one of the worst seasons New England had, and Edelman missed too much time. The Patriots missed the playoffs for the first time since 2008. It was awful and disappointing. But, Edelman is ready to move on. The wideout has kept his positive mindset and that’s the best thing he can do right now. Awesome Julian Edelman delivered a message for all his fans and doubters.

The Super Bowl MVP played in a career-low six games in 2020. Edelman suffered a terrible knee injury and had to undergo surgery. The Patriots placed him on injured reserve and he even landed on the reserve/COVID-19 list. Head coach Bill Belichick announced that Edelman is shut down for the season. The wideout did return to the practice field, but the Patriots decided not to add him to the active roster.

Julian Edelman sends clear message

Edelman took to his Instagram to deliver a message and remind everyone that he is ready for 2021.

“As we move past a year filled with challenges and adversity, it’s important to reflect and understand how we can use them to grow,” the wideout wrote. “From day one, our team showed fight, pushing through countless obstacles standing in the way of success. This team, this organization, this fan base, knows nothing but hard work. And this year, showed that in spades. I can’t express how proud I am of my brothers for digging in and fighting to the last whistle. And to Pats Nation, thank you for riding with us all year. In New England, we know how to keep our eyes downfield, focused on the next task. Control what you can control. Give everything you have to go out and conquer that next obstacle.”

Edelman finished 2020 with 21 catches for 315 yards. These are his lowest numbers since 2012. The Patriots finished the season with a 7-9 record. The receiver hasn’t had a losing season with the Patriots, and that makes things worse for him.
