PHOTO: Julian Edelman Is Ready For Hockey Season

New England Patriots veteran wideout Julian Edelman missed a big chunk of the 2020 NFL season, but he is more than ready for the hockey goodness. The Patriots placed Edelman on injured reserve at the end of October and he had knee surgery to fix his problem. This procedure kept him away from the field and the Patriots didn’t activate Edelman at all. His future is hanging in the air and some believe that he may retire this offseason. Others believe that Edelman is just enjoying his time off and getting ready for 2021.

Edelman is using his break to show his love and support for Boston sports. He took to his Instagram account Wednesday to share his thoughts on the start of the season. He even photoshopped an image of himself wearing a Boston Bruins uniform. Oh, yes, he is also missing a tooth.

The 2018 Super Bowl MVP shared a quote of the Adam Sandler film “Happy Gilmore.”

Julian Edelman is a big supporter of his favorite hockey team

Edelman is a vocal fan of the Bruins. He even became a banner captain in their run to the Stanley Cup Finals in 2019. We all remember his jerseys in practice. You read that right.

NFL fans had a great time watching Edelman show support for the Bruins during practice. In June 2019, he showed up at the final minicamp practice at Gillette Stadium rocking a No.13 Bruins jersey. The name… It said “Phillip Dorsett.”

This was probably a Charlie Coyle jersey. Maybe not. It’s definitely a customized Dorsett Bruins jersey. Hilarious, right?

We also remember that many Patriots players got customized Bruins jerseys when they arrived at TD Garden as a team earlier that year to celebrate the Super Bowl LIII title.

Edelman probably couldn’t find his No.11 Bruins jersey or just wanted to show his love for Dorsett and the B’s in one shot.

The veteran wideout has been making headlines lately. Everyone is talking about his NFL career. He didn’t play well in 2020 and maybe the Patriots will cut ties with him. He may also leave the team to join TB12 and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. But, we wouldn’t get into that at this point.
