Report: Panthers Request Permission To Interview Patriots Executive

The New England Patriots will have to part ways with some of their members, and one executive may be on his way out. Of course, the Patriots will have to give up on him first.

New England may be bound for an avalanche of departures. Offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels has been linked with several teams, and he is pretty interested in becoming a head coach. Patriots executive Nick Caserio may be next on the list. Adam Schefter from ESPN reported that the Carolina Panthers requested permission to interview Caserio.

Caserio signed his contract extension with the team last February. The 45-year-old joined the team in 2001 and became a personnel assistant. Caserio became the Patriots’ director of player personnel since 2008.

Patriots to lose several members, including an executive

Same as McDaniels, Caserio has also drawn interest outside of New England. He has been linked with several organizations in the past few seasons. The Houston Texans tried to reach for Caserio in the 2019 season and then hired former head coach Bill O’Brien. Recent reports suggest that the New York Giants have shown major interest in Caserio. He may easily become the team’s next general manager. But, will Caserio leave the Patriots after all these years?

Carolina plans to interview Buffalo Bills assistant general manager Joe Schoen and Cleveland Browns vice president of football operations Kwesi Adofo-Mensah. Ian Rapoport from NFL Media reported on these possibilities.

Nick Caserio and head coach Bill Belichick have done an incredible job in every NFL Draft. They have this ability to find diamonds in the mud and use them to win Super Bowls. Sadly, the Patriots will miss the playoffs this season and they have already put an end to a terrible season. It was a terrible season with a happy ending. The team defeated the New York Jets, but this win wasn’t enough to help them make the playoffs.

So, who is the next to go? Caserio? McDaniels? Veteran quarterback Cam Newton has been making headlines for quite some time. He may be the first to leave the Patriots following the horrible season.
