Kobe Bryant and Gianna died a year ago, and the NBA world still mourns their tragic death. The Black Mamba and his little girl lost their lives in a helicopter crash outside Los Angeles. Today is the one year anniversary of the tragedy, and we all remember the best moments of the Black Mamba and his princess. Vanessa Bryant took to her Instagram account to share a letter from one of Gigi’s friends. Aubrey Callaghan penned an emotional letter and we cried.

Aubrey sympathizes with Vanessa’s situation. The poor woman lost her husband and daughter in a helicopter crash. Aubrey also shared her thoughts of Gigi. According to her, Gigi was a kind, caring, and polite individual to people around her. Aubrey and Gianna were teammates on the basketball squad. Little Gigi was as competitive as her famous dad. She was sharpening her skills with one major goal. Talented Gianna wanted to play her best basketball.

Gianna’s energy was contagious. She was a confident young lady who was successful on and off the court. Just like her dad. Gianna made a big contribution on her school’s student council and musical activities.

Vanessa Bryant made everyone emotional with the letter

Aubrey believes that Gigi could have accomplished a lot if given a chance. Gigi died at 13, but she made a mark on this planet. She impacted people around her in so many ways. Aubrey ended her letter by saying that Vanessa did it right. She is so grateful for being able to hang out with Gigi back in the days.

This letter only speaks volumes on how brilliant Gianna Bryant was. She changed her friends’ lives and people loved her.

It’s hard to imagine that Gigi and Kobe will no longer attack the rim or support their favorite team on the floor. We will never see the father-daughter duo on the sidelines at Staples Center. But, Lakers players will continue their legacy. The same applies to pretty much every Kobe fan out there. His former teammate, Pau Gasol, even named his daughter after Gigi.
