Anthony Davis Reveals How LeBron James Has Made Him a Better Player

The Los Angeles Lakers have a pretty great record at this point of the regular season. Signing big names was part of the big plan and it actually worked. The front office brought in a lot of valuable players, including a former New Orleans Pelicans big man. Anthony Davis is grateful for everything he gained in Los Angeles, and he admits that LeBron James made him a better player.

LeBron and Davis make the best duo in the NBA. They share the same locker room for the second straight season, and things look really well for the big man. If you ask Davis, he will say that being in the spotlight with King James actually improved his game.

“I think being in that spotlight alongside Bron helped make me a better player,” AD said.

The 27-year-old became a Laker in the summer of 2019. Los Angeles got him through a big trade deal with the Pelicans. Their first attempt was a failure, but LA insisted on getting AD. Their second offer was pretty awesome, and Davis made his way to LA. Los Angeles lost Lonzo Ball, Josh Hart, Brandon Ingram and a few others. But, Davis is definitely worth it.

Anthony Davis and LeBron James to make the playoffs again

LeBron wanted to play with Davis. He can easily recognize great potential. Pairing him with Davis turned out to be one of the best decisions LA has made lately.

Davis helped the Lakers win the first title since Kobe Bryant’s retirement. The team rewarded him with a five-year contract extension in the offseason.

LA had a short offseason and Davis sustained a few injuries. This had an impact on his game, and the big man had a slow start to the regular season. Lakers head coach Frank Vogel believes that AD will soon regain his old dominance.

LeBron is here to lead him throughout the game. The four-time NBA champion has made ten NBA Finals appearances. He is on his way to winning his fifth award. LeBron entered history as the first player to win a Finals MVP award with three different franchises.

The Lakers have a 16-6 record in 2021 and are considered favorites to win the championship later in the season.
