The Los Angeles Lakers lost the game to the Brooklyn Nets and they played without Anthony Davis. It was a big game and it was quite challenging. Well, AD wasn’t the only player to miss the game. Another veteran missed the game, too. The Los Angeles Lakers provided an update on Dennis Schroder.
Right before tipoff, the Lakers learned they would play without the German native.
Lakers provide shocking update on Dennis Schroder
It was a big blow for the Lakers. They needed Schroder to put pressure on Nets superstar Kyrie Irving on both ends of the court. The Lakers ruled Schroder out due to the NBA’s health and safety protocols.
LA lost the game to the Nets, and it was a home loss for the team. Lakers head coach Frank Vogel provided a concerning update on the German native after the game.
When asked how long Schroder would be out, Vogel said, “I don’t know, to be honest, right now.”
There’s huge uncertainty surrounding Schroder’s return to the Lakers lineup. Vogel said that the medical staff has re-evaluated Davis’ injury. According to recent reports, the big man will miss at least four weeks. His diagnosis is pretty tough.
The Lakers are entering a tough stretch of games. LeBron James and his teammates will have to try really hard to finish the first half of the 2020-21 NBA season with success. The defending champions will struggle to defeat their opponents. LA has a really tough schedule but LeBron has great success carrying the team on his back.
The All-Star break will come right on time. Lakers players will need to rest and recover from any existing injuries.
LeBron was given the nod as the Western Conference All-Stars captain Thursday. AD will be named a reserve, and he will have to travel to Atlanta.
The Lakers need every bit of talent on the floor. Vogel is an optimist despite all the injuries on his roster. LeBron looks and plays well, and he has already been in a similar situation. He played without his superstar teammates in Cleveland and Miami.
