Former NFL Executive Makes Pair Of Bold Patriots Predictions

The New England Patriots need to address several topics, and they need to find the next franchise quarterback. There are several major options on the market, and one of the best quarterbacks in the league can easily end up on the trading block. A former NFL executive talked about the Patriots and made bold predictions.

If Deshaun Watson is made available, head coach Bill Belichick will sure go after him.

Tannenbaum discusses the Patriots offseason, offering big predictions

Mike Tannenbaum talked about this during his appearance on “Get Up.” According to him, the Patriots may land Watson. The veteran quarterback is on his way out of Houston and New England would like to have him around. Former New York Jets general manager predicted that the veteran won’t waste any time leading the Pats to the Super Bowl.

“New England Patriots, we’re going to get Deshaun Watson,” Tannenbaum said. “Nick Caserio just came from the Patriots, they know each other well. If I get Deshaun Watson — with all those other opt-outs coming back — I’m going to go to the Super Bowl. I’m gonna go beat the Kansas City Chiefs. Bill Belichick is a great competitor, he’ll do whatever it takes. We get Deshaun Watson, we’re back in the Super Bowl. New England, Tampa Bay in the Super Bowl next year in LA. Talk about a can’t-miss game.”

The Patriots really need a quarterback at the moment. They are coming off a terrible season. Veteran quarterback Cam Newton failed to lead the team to the Super Bowl. The Patriots didn’t make the playoffs this season. Watson would be the best signal-caller on the market. However, New England may not offer a big blockbuster deal. Is New England the best destination for Watson?

Belichick may also try to get Jimmy Garoppolo. The San Francisco 49ers may trade Garoppolo this offseason. He knows the system and we can see him join his former team. Garoppolo spent three years in New England and that’s plenty of time to learn the rulebook. Belichick would love to reunite with his former quarterback, and this is an interesting story to follow.
