Former Patriots Pro Bowler Picks Between Tom Brady, Bill Belichick

Tom Brady and Bill Belichick built a dynasty and led the NFL for two decades. The greatest of all time left the New England Patriots to join the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, leading his new team to the Super Bowl. Belichick and his Patriots missed the playoffs. Current and former NFL players have picked a side in the Brady-Belichick discussion. A former Patriots Pro Bowler spoke his mind.

Brady had great success in his first season with the Patriots. He won six rings as a Patriot and has a great chance to earn his seventh championship win. The legendary quarterback made a decision last year and it was a good one.

Brady earned an army of supporters on his way out, but some people still believe that Belichick can win games without the GOAT.

Patriots Pro Bowler stands with Belichick

Former Patriots Pro Bowl offensive lineman Matt Light went on The Dan Patrick Show and talked about so many things, including Belichick and his former quarterback. Yes, he made his pick. The former Patriot goes with Belichick.

“Can he win without Tom Brady? Yeah I think he can, we did it in 2008,” he said.

In 2008, the Patriots had a 11-5 record. The brilliant quarterback missed the season after sustaining a horrible injury. Matt Cassel went under center, and the Patriots played really well. Well, it wasn’t enough as the AFC was really competitive that season.

Brady is no longer a Patriot and he is 42. But, he doesn’t age. He is playing his best football. Brady is so good that he even has a chance to win a Super Bowl in his first season in Tampa Bay.

Belichick, on the other hand, has all the motivation in this world to build a superteam. 2020 was a rehearsal and his team made some mistakes. His assistants will change their approach and the Patriots will reemerge stronger than ever. New England has enough cap space to sign big names and they will fill up the holes in the offseason.
