Jared Dudley has great plans

Where does Dudley see himself in the near future? He could be a good coach. We can also see him join a franchise as a general manager.

“It’s coach or GM, that’s what it is,” the veteran said. “I’m leaning towards coaching just because if you get fired, you can be an assistant. I could go into TV. General manager is a little different. I would prefer to be able to control the team like a general manager, but it’s different because once you get fired from being a GM, can you be an assistant GM? It’s tough, man, and you’ve got to work your way up, just like coaching.”

Becoming  a coach seems like a good idea right now. Dudley may join the Lakers coaching staff after his retirement.

The 35-year-old played in 45 games in 2019-20. He was averaging 8.1 minutes per game. Lakers head coach Frank Vogel gave him less playing time this season. Dudley saw action in just six games and played 22 total minutes.

This doesn’t change the fact that Dudley was a true leader in the locker room. Lakers players praised him for his presence. You know, Dudley has this Jared Dudley Reveals His Plans For After Basketball attitude, and LeBron James really likes it.

LA will make a few big decisions this summer. They have to create perfect opportunities for their free agents. Dennis Schroder is here waiting for his contract extension. Kyle Kuzma was added to pretty much every trade rumor this season.
