Joel Embiid Throws Shade at Lakers’ Anthony Davis

Joel Embiid knows how to make people talk, and this time he mentioned Los Angeles Lakers big man Anthony Davis. Yes, he has a sense of humor and entertains everyone around him. Will you agree on his shot at Davis?

Embiid discussed FIFA-themed soccer video game series on the YouTube channel owned by gamer ChuBoi. When asked about a tough mode in the game and mentioned AD, Embiid fired a shocking response.

“More difficult, playing FUT Champs or guarding AD?”

“Playing FUT Champs is more difficult.”

Lakers fans didn’t like any of this.

Joel Embiid is wrong about Anthony Davis

In seven seasons in the league, Embiid has made the playoffs on three occasions. He never played in the conference finals. The Sixers missed the chance to win a ring and were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs in October. AD won his ring.

This doesn’t change the fact that Embiid has been amazing in his season for the Sixers. He is averaging a career-high 28.3 points to go with 11.1 rebounds. Embiid shoots 54.4% from the field and 40.4% from the 3-point line, while stacking 1.2 steals and 1.3 blocked shots.

Davis has seen some struggles on the floor this year. He sustained some minor injuries and is averaging 22.2 points and 9.1 rebounds per game. He shoots 51.5% and 33.3% from the 3-point line.

“We saw it with [the NFL] unfortunately, a lot of guys got hurt early on because they didn’t have a preseason and went straight into playing games,” the Lakers big man said. “We didn’t want to do that at all. Coach did a good job of making sure we ramped up the right way.”

Embiid, on the other hand, has earned words of praise.

“He’s just more talented than even I knew,” coach Doc Rivers said about Embiid. “I knew he was extremely talented but he has so many more gifts. You know, off the dribble, he can make his spots. One of his weak points I guess was post passing and he’s been phenomenal in that this year.”
