Julian Edelman Responds To Rob Gronkowski’s Accusation Over Dented Lombardi Trophy

New England Patriots wideout Julian Edelman has something to say about the dented Lombardi Trophy that made headlines in 2019. It was the trophy New England won in Super Bowl LIII. Rob Gronkowski dented the trophy, and many people thought he was responsible for the damage. Guess what… Big Gronk is fed up with this attitude. He said “Edelman’s culpability was lost to history.”

Gronk won his fourth ring with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the dented trophy is still here. The tight end dented the trophy while his former team was honored at a Boston Red Sox game in April 2019. Gronk bunted a baseball with the trophy in the batting cages. Who delivered the pitch?

Edelman.

Julian Edelman responded to the accusations about the dented trophy

Gronk showed up on ESPN’s “NFL Live” to talk about this. According to him, there would be no bunt nor dented Lombardi trophy without the pitch. Well, he didn’t need to bunt the baseball. We do know that he couldn’t resist the urge to hit it.

We’d all agree that this is just a big brother teasing his little brother and then blaming him for breaking staff around the house. Gronk and Edelman share the blame, but it was the tight end who used the trophy to hit the baseball.

Maybe the Buccaneers won’t let Gronk get any near this trophy. The man won his fourth ring and the Bucs will sure celebrate the big win. But, we believe that the Buccaneers will be super careful with this trophy. They won a Super Bowl after a really long time. This trophy is of utmost importance for the team.

Gronk and Tom Brady led the Buccaneers to the playoffs and then won the Super Bowl. They defeated the Kansas City Chiefs with ease. The Buccaneers didn’t need to try really hard to defeat the Chiefs. It was easy and smooth. Brady was leading the game and it was brilliant. Patriots players rooted for their former teammates. Head coach Bill Belichick sure watched the game.
