Lakers’ Kyle Kuzma Hilariously Mocks Haters Who Claim he Doesn’t Play Defense

Los Angeles Lakers forward Kyle Kuzma has been dealing with too much criticism from his haters lately. Things got really bad inside the Orlando bubble. Some NBA fans started off a petition suggesting that the Lakers forward shouldn’t get a ring. Well, Kuzma wasn’t the ultimate leader for the Lakers in the 2019-20 NBA season, but he had a big role coming off the bench.

Critics didn’t stop for a second. The young Laker has had to adjust more than his teammates. The last two seasons were pretty stressful for Kuzma. Yes, the 25-year-old had to go through a lot lately.

The Lakers front office added several valuable players in the offseason. General Manager Rob Pelinka is trying to help the team repeat the game they had in 2020. LA wins games thanks to the elite defense. Well, someone thought it would be nice if they criticize Kuzma for his defense.

Kyle Kuzma blasts haters

Young Kuzma decided to speak up and even called out his haters. This happened after Kuzma locked up Atlanta Hawks’ Trae Young on Monday night.

In the 2018-19 NBA season, Kuzma was the Lakers’ second-leading scorer. The University of Utah product was averaging 18.7 minutes per game. His role changed after Anthony Davis’ arrival in LA. Kuzma had to find other ways to contribute on the basketball court.

Davis’ signing affected Kuzma’s performance. He is still trying to determine his right role. The front office rewarded him with a contract extension in the offseason. It was a great relief for the forward, and it sure offered him great security. But, Kuzma is a Laker without a defined role. Let’s just say we are a bit uncomfortable with that one.

Kuzma is averaging 9.9 points and 5.7 rebounds per game with the Lakers. He is shooting 43.6 percent from the floor and 38.1 percent from beyond the arc.

Hopefully, his numbers will go up later in the season. LeBron James and Anthony Davis really like their younger teammate. Lakers head coach Frank Vogel has great words for Kuzma, too. This should motivate him to do better on the basketball court.
