Lakers Veteran Takes Shot at ‘Disrespectful’ Paul George

The Los Angeles Lakers rebuilt their roster in the offseason. General Manager Rob Pelinka is doing the impossible, and he really wants the team to win back-to-back titles. The same applies to his city rivals. The Clippers have put together a revamped roster last season. Well, things didn’t work well for them, and the Clippers lost the chance to meet LeBron and his team in the Western Conference Finals. This leads us to the comments Lakers veteran Jared Dudley made on Paul George.

Lakers players don’t waste their time discussing players on other teams.

“We don’t talk to people on other teams,” Dudley wrote in the book he signed with Carvell Wallace of New York Times Magazine. “As far as we’re concerned, our squad is the only squad. We know that there are some real feelings regarding the Clippers. It’s more than just battle-for-LA stuff, though that’s part of it. Every day when we were on the outside, we were all driving past billboards with Kawhi Leonard wearing a crown. In our city. We didn’t like that. We hear some of those guys talking about how they’re the team to beat in LA. It’s fine if Kawhi says stuff like that. He’s defending a championship. We don’t trip if someone like Patrick Beverley is talking trash; that’s how he feeds his family. We get it. We respect the hustle.”

The Lakers veteran calls out Paul George

Lakers players had to deal with a challenge called Paul George. The Clippers veteran has never made the NBA Finals, but he is definitely making the wrong moves.

“But we think it’s disrespectful for Paul George, who hasn’t won, to put himself on the level of Bron and AD. This motivates us,” Dudley added. “When we see those guys around the compound, we don’t really kick it with them. The one exception of course is Markieff [Morris], whose twin brother, Marcus, is on the Clippers. This probably keeps tensions from boiling over.”

George loses himself in the playoffs, so he should be more careful about his comments.

The Lakers are tied with the Celtics for the most titles in league history. They own Los Angeles. From what we can see, George and his team have no chance against LeBron and his teammates.
