NBA World Reacts To Alex Caruso All-Star Vote Totals

NBA fans got a chance to discuss the second batch of fan vote returns for the All-Star Game. Guess whose name popped on the list? LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry, and Bradley Beal lead the NBA in the early voting. However, analysts were surprised to see Alex Caruso appear in the fan vote returns.

Caruso went at No.1 in the Western Conference guards. He has 214,997 votes in the latest release of votes. The role player is on the same list as CJ McCollum and Chris Paul. He trails these two by just a few thousand votes. How impressive is that?!

Alex Caruso gets each and every vote from his fans

It’s a good gesture and diehard fans did their job this time. The NBA world had mixed feelings about this. Did Caruso deserve his spot on the All-Star list?

Caruso isn’t the only Laker on the list. King James and AD are in the top 5 of Western Conference frontcourt vote-getters. LA players do their best to stay on the top.

Young Caruso may not be as excellent as LeBron and AD, but he sure plays well. He has very little chanced to climb on the top of the All-Star list. NBA fans account for 50 percent of the total vote. Players make up 25 and media members do the rest. Los Angeles fans may push Caruso to the top, but players and media people won’t be that excited.

Truth is, Caruso may not be an All-Star this time. This doesn’t change the fact that he has brilliant career. In 18 minutes per game with the Lakers, he is averaging 5.5 points, 2.1 assists, and 1.0 steals. The Lakers guard is a good option for the Lakers and he had a key role inside the NBA bubble in Orlando. He has a good role, and he won’t take a step back this year. The Lakers will need the best of him this season. Frank Vogel has great thoughts on Caruso, too.

The NBA All-Star game is set to take place in Atlanta on Sunday, March 7. NBA fans can submit their votes through Feb. 16.
