NFL World Reacts To Tedy Bruschi Matthew Stafford Comment

Former New England Patriots linebacker Teddy Bruschi shocked everyone with his comments on Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford. This happened right after the Detroit Lions sent Stafford to the Rams.

Stafford was linked with several teams across the NFL, and the New England Patriots really liked him. Well, Mattford wasn’t too excited about playing under head coach Bill Belichick. He would pick any other team in the NFL. This has something to do with the hiring of Matt Patricia. That’s one of the options.

Tedy Bruschi destroys Matthew Stafford

Bruschi didn’t like any of this, and he delivered a blunt message for Stafford. According to him, the quarterback doesn’t have the mental toughness to play with the Patriots.

“He’s not tough enough to play here. He’s just not tough enough,” the three-time Super Bowl champion said. “I don’t think he’s tough enough to be coached hard. Do you realize the mental toughness that Tom Brady had to have for 20 years to deal with Bill Belichick and that type of coaching? I mean, constant pressure every single day. Does Stafford sort of grab you as a guy who could handle that? I just don’t think so. He went to Sean McVay and his little best friend relationship and go have fun over there. That’s fine.”

What made Bruschi say this? Yes, he didn’t like the way Stafford talked about his Patriots. He took it personally and went after Stafford. Questioning his toughness was one of the ways to go. Truth is, he is actually right about this. Most players would have hard time working with Belichick. His system is different and stronger than any other system in the NFL. Belichick is the best head coach in league history and Stafford knows it. That’s why he got a little scared.

Several players stood by Stafford in the entire situation.

This won’t change Bruschi’s opinion on the Rams quarterback. Stafford didn’t like to sign with the Patriots and Belichick is fine with it. There are so many options out there, and the Patriots have a real chance to get a tough quarterback.
