Nikola Jokic Hilariously Trolls Lakers’ LeBron James

The Los Angeles Lakers will have their first game against the Denver Nuggets since the Western Conference Finals in Orlando. The Nuggets are packed with talent and they may definitely shock their opponents. Nikola Jokic is playing his best basketball and it looks like he has just challenged Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James. Oh, yes, he is also in the MVP race for the season.

The 25-year-old has career averages of 26.8 points and 11.8 rebounds per game. If you ask the Serbian native, he will say that he and LeBron have some similar spots.

“Athleticism. Quickness. I don’t know if he can jump as high as me,” Jokic said.

The Nuggets star is a talented player, but LeBron is the most athletic person in the entire world. They have different styles, but their game is elite.

Jokic is one of the best centers in the league. He has led Denver to a 12-8 record in the West. If he keeps playing this game, he will definitely earn his spot in the MVP race.

LeBron is having his best game, too. He turned 36 in December and Los Angeles uses his dominant power. The 16-time All-Star is averaging 25 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists per game. In other words, he defies father time. King James didn’t win the MVP award in the 2019-20 NBA season. Milwaukee Bucks Giannis Antetokounmpo finished first in the MVP voting. LeBron was pretty mad and we definitely understand him. Lakers head coach Frank Vogel created a load management plan for LeBron and the superstar may miss some games later in the season. He has yet to miss time on the floor in 2021.

The Nuggets defeated the Los Angeles Clippers on their way to the Western Conference Finals last season. They are a good team, but they may not make a deep run in the postseason again. Jamal Murray was great in Orlando, but he is averaging 18.9 points per game this season. Jokic can lead the team but he can’t win games all by himself. Going past the Clippers and the Utah Jazz won’t be that easy.
