Patriots Interest Level In Carson Wentz Trade

The New England Patriots have shown interest in Carson Wentz. The talented player is available for trade. Head coach Bill Belichick needs a quarterback. Rings a bell? The brilliant coach signed veteran quarterback Cam Newton to a one-year deal in order to replace his superstar signal-caller. It did not work and the Patriots missed the playoffs. The Cam Newton experiment was nothing but a big failure. Wentz has tons of talent and Belichick will have to restore him to MVP-form. Will Belichick be able to do this? He has already done this before.

“I think the Patriots are checking in on everything at this point,” SI’s Albert Breer said Friday on NBC Sports Boston. “As for the Patriots, I think as a player, there’s a sense maybe they could fix some things about him and get him back on his feet. I just don’t know about the personality fit. Like, this is a guy who traditionally has not taken hard coaching very well, and we all know if you can’t take hard coaching well, Foxboro’s probably not the place for you.”

Patriots to get Carson Wentz

The Philadelphia Eagles will ask a lot for Wentz. Belichick is not someone who would spend too much money on a player. Moreover, he probably hung up the phone when he found out about the offer.

If Philadelphia is ready to shrink the offer, Belichick may reach an agreement with his opponents. He needs a signal-caller and Newton is probably out of the scheme. The 2015 NFL MVP has almost zero chance of returning to New England. Belichick likes him though. In other words, we cannot really make any comments on Belichick’s potential move. One thing stands for sure. The Patriots head coach needs a quarterback and he should make a big decision. There are several major options for Belichick at the moment. He can trade for a big player, but he can also select a player in the 2021 NFL Draft.

The Patriots missed the playoffs and getting a popular name would solve so many problems right now.
