Report: Lakers Announce Results From Anthony Davis MRI, How Long He’s Expected to be Out

Los Angeles Lakers superatsr Anthony Davis had his MRI. The team has released the results and we have a real reason to be worried.

Adrian Wojnarowski from ESPN reported that Davis will miss at least 2-3 weeks on the floor. The big man left Sunday’s game against the Denver Nuggets.

AD has been dealing with Achilles tendonosis for quite some time. The calf strain is probably related to his former issues.

“Davis underwent an MRI today, which revealed a re-aggrevation near his Achilles. Lakers and Davis will be conservative on a return to play, which could be sometime after the All-Star Break running March 5 to 10, source tells ESPN.”

Anthony Davis to have another MRI

The All-Star did his MRI to be safe. There aren’t any breaks and ruptures. His issue is not that serious, but he has to rest and relax. He has to recover.

The Lakers need Davis on the floor. He has a key role with the team. LA signed him for one major reason. AD had to work with LeBron James and help the team win championships. They did that inside the NBA bubble in Orlando. LeBron and Davis won a championship. It was the first championship for Davis. He had a chance to win a title this season, and fans are now worried about his health.

The big man hasn’t been himself in 2020. He is averaging 22.5 points and 8.4 rebounds per game with the Lakers this season. This is well bellow his career averages.

LA is in second place in the West. LeBron will be leading the way for the team. He will have to win games without Anthony Davis. It will be hard. LA did win games without the big man, but players took the game in overtime. LeBron plays more minutes than usual.

Rob Pelinka signed Dennis Schroder, Wesley Matthews, Montrezl Harrell, and Marc Gasol to increase the team’s chance to win a championship. Let’s see how will things go for the Lakers. They look good now. They will have to be ready for the second half of the season.
