Report: LeBron James in Early Position to Win MVP

Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James has won four NBA MVP awards in his career. He is on a good way to win his fifth MVP award. It’s an individual award and LeBron is not too worried about it. He is more focused on his team. LeBron uses his time to help his teammates become better players. Yes, he was a bit frustrated when Giannis Antetokounmpo won the NBA MVP award last season, but it’s all good. LeBron got the final word. He became a four-time NBA champion, remember?

ESPN has a mock MVP voting to check out the situation. National and international reporters comprised the voters from each of the NBA’s 28 markets. This poll follows the standard scoring system of the real ballot. It has 10 points for each first-place vote, seven for second-place, five for third, three for fourth, and one for fifth.

Guess what… LeBron leads the group with 53 first-place votes. Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid trails LeBron by a margin of 95 points. He received 23 first-place votes and has 665 votes. Nikola Jokic from the Denver Nuggets has 18 first-place votes for a total of 596.

Kevin Durant has three first-place votes. Paul George, Kawhi Leonard, and Stephen Curry are next on the list. Each of these players won one first-place vote apiece.

LeBron is in his 18th NBA season and he definitely defies Father Time. The 16-time All-Star appeared in 25 games and he is averaging 25.6 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 8.0 assists.

The Lakers superstar ended behind Giannis last season. He was a bit frustrated, but it wasn’t really a big deal. LeBron was after his first title as a Laker. The front office paired him with big man Anthony Davis, and it was a match made in heaven. These two won the championship in Orlando.

This season, the Lakers look really well. They have a good record, and NBA experts predict a good season for the team. How will LA finish the season? It will be a long season for the king of basketball and his teammates.
