The New England Patriots have been linked to San Francisco quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo and the rumors haven’t stopped. NFL experts have made some predictions about this connection. The whole thing started at the very end of the 2020 NFL season. Earlier reports suggested that head coach Bill Belichick may reunite with his former quarterback. Well, Belichick signed Cam Newton to a one-year deal. Guess what… The rumors are still here.

The San Francisco 49ers traded up for the No.3 overall spot in the 2021 NFL Draft. This added fuel to the fire. Adam Schefter reported that the 49ers plan to keep Garoppolo for the upcoming season. Will this stop the Patriots from pursuing the veteran quarterback.

The 29-year-old would be a good addition to the Patriots roster.

Jordan Schultz from ESPN reported that the Patriots don’t really like the idea of bringing Garoppolo to New England. We don’t really believe this is true.

The Patriots really like Garoppolo. If the 49ers decide to move on from the injury-prone quarterback, they will probably drive up the deal for him. Several NFL teams have shown interest in the veteran. They’d try to cut the deal and offer less money.

The only thing we can do right now is make guesses. There are so many options for the Patriots right now. Belichick will undoubtedly do the best for his team. He has Newton and Jarrett Stidham ready to go under center and he may also pick a player from the upcoming draft.

Let’s not forget that Garoppolo has a no-trade clause in his deal. Is he even interested in signing with the Patriots? Things can change overnight and Belichick can make another shocking move. His shopping spree made headlines last week. Belichick signed strong weapons and brought the best tight ends to New England. He needs a strong quarterback to make the playoffs in 2021.
