LeBron James Gives Honest First Impression Of LaMelo Ball

Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James has no issues with the Ball family, and he really likes LaMelo Ball. The four-time NBA champion made his comments right after the Charlotte Hornets rookie shared his thoughts on the first game against LeBron.

Melo wasn’t too excited about his first encounter with the king of basketball. He surprised fans with the fact that he “grew up playing different basketball.” We all know what that means. But, we also spotted Melo trying to avoid LeBron on the court last night. He literally took a step back when LeBron hit the rim. He didn’t want to be there. We all know what happens when LeBron dunks.

Following the Lakers 116-105 win over Charlotte, King James talked about young Melo. As you may be guessing, he praised his abilities and liked what Melo did at such a young age.

“He’s damn good to be his age,” LeBron said after the game, via ESPN. “His speed, his quickness, his ability to make shots and baskets in the paint… and he’s going to only get better. Every game is a learning experience for him. He’s going to get better as the season goes on and his career goes on.”

LeBron likes the Ball family despite the comments LaVar made in the past. The Lakers superstar complimented LaMelo and Lonzo, calling them “two unique players.”

“Him and ‘Zo are two very unique players in our league and they showcase that every night,” LeBron said.

LaMelo was the No.3 overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft. His team made a good decision and we can see young Ball winning games. His rookie campaign is pretty strong.

Ball received great minutes on the court. He is averaging 16 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 assists per game. The Hornets are 2020 and they may soon hit the best record in the last five seasons.

LaMelo will have a great future, and LeBron is here to support him. He likes talented players, and he definitely likes the young Hornets star.
