Los Angeles Lakers Eyeing Terrence Ross as Trade Deadline Looms

The Los Angeles Lakers have shown interest in a Terrence Ross trade. The front office has to make a move before the trade deadline. The news came like a huge surprise for pretty much every NBA fan out there. LA really is a potential suitor for Ross.

Brian Windhorst discussed the potential trade on ESPN’s First Take. He sait to “keep an eye” on the Lakers as a potential destination for Ross if the Orlando Magic decide to part ways with him.

Lakers could use a Terrence Ross trade

Orlando is dealing with too many injuries at the moment and their regular season is more than awful. The team has waived the white flag on the season. Keeping everyone on board is not really a priority right now. The front office is trying to rebuild the team and bring all the assets they need to win more games in 2022. A long-term rebuild is in play now.

Adrian Wojnarowski from ESPn said Orlando has already agreed to move Nikola Vucevic and AL-Farouq Aminu to the Chicago Bulls. They are also working on a separate deal that will take Evan Fournier to the Boston Celtics. It looks like everything is falling apart at the moment. But this may be a good sign for the Lakers.

Wojnarowski also reported that Orlando willt rade Aaron Gordon to the Denver Nuggets.

Ross is the most valuable star Orlando has at the moment. They have yet to create the perfect trade deal for the star. Ross is 30 and he is averaging career-high 16 points per game. The veteran is also shooting 36 percent from three-point range in 36 games this year.

Los Angeles is plagued with injuries too. LeBron James will sit out the next few weeks and the same applies to Anthony Davis. The four-time NBA champion suffered a high ankle sprain in the game against the Atlanta Hawks. AD left the game on Feb. 14 and he is nurturing his calf and Achilles injuries.

Pelinka is making a move. He has to find a replacement for LeBron and AD. Sort of.
