The Lakers will have to make some tricky decisions in the upcoming period. The NBA trade deadline is almost here. Anthony Davis is out. He hasn’t played for a month. LeBron is out indefinitely. It looks like the Lakers will have to find the best course of action to win games. Both superstars are out. Ring the alarm!

According to recent sources, the Lakers have already made sone decision.

Lakers head coach makes roster decision

Dan Woike reveals that the Lakers won’t re-sign center Damian Jones for the rest of the regular season after his second 10-day contract is done. The Lakers brought Jones as a fill-in starter. He played well, but the front office made a decision. Hard cap, roster limitations… Everything counts in this case.

Jones won’t sign another deal with the Lakers. The team got him after AD suffered an injury and March Gasol was added to the health and safety protocols list.

In his eight games with the team, Jones had six starts. He was averaging 5.4 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 14.0 minutes per game.

This happened right after LeBron sustained his ankle injury. However, Gasol is joining his teammates once he is cleared to return.

Jones was more than great after signing his first 10-day contract with the team. Fans liked him and Vogel respected his effort.

The Lakers have an empty spot right now, and Vogel is set to make a move. Rob Pelinka will probably take some action ahead of the trade deadline. The buyout market is also here. LeBron and AD will be out simultaneously, so LA has to balance the entire situation.

The team is in a concerning situation at the moment. They lost two valuable players. What happens next? Pelinka is making a move. He will probably bring a couple of players to fill up the holes.
