Report: Lakers Open to Discussing Dennis Schroder in Trade Talks

The Los Angeles Lakers are getting ready for the trade deadline. The team lost LeBron James and Anthony Davis to injuries and General Manager Rob Pelinka has to think of potential trades. According to recent reports, the Lakers may soon add Dennis Schroder to the trade block.

Schroder was one of the biggest players LA signed in the offseason. NBA experts praised Pelinka’s decision to sign the German native. Schroder brings so much to the table after all.

Lakers to add Dennis Schroder to the trade block

Things changed in the last few days and Schroder may have to leave the team. Schroder is on the list of players LA wants to trade. Let’s see how will the whole situation end.

It looks like the Lakers are open to discussing Schroder, Montrezl Harrell, and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope with rivals. The speculation keeps growing and there are so many options for the Lakers at the moment.

Schroder is averaging 15.0 points, 4.7 assists, and 3.5 rebounds per game. He is 27 and has so much to offer.

Trading Schroder wouldn’t come as a surprise at this point. Lakers fans trust the front office in the process.

Schroder and other Lakers players were surprised to see LeBron in his walking boot. Anthony Davis wa sitting on the sideline, too. Both superstars were there to support their teammates and that’s pretty much everything they could do.

The German native said that as logn as the lakers are missing their two stars in uniform, the team has to overhaul the approach.

“I think how we played before with them two on the court, it’s totally opposite now, I think,” Schroder said after the Lakers trailed by as many as 18 points and never led against the Suns. “I think we got to move the ball, we got to play with more pace. On the defensive end, we got to be more scrappy. And, yeah, I mean everybody who is coming on the floor has got to be confident to knock down the shot or to impact the game on the defensive end.”

Frank Vogel would use Schroder as a leader with both LeBron and AD out. But, seeing him go would leave an open spot for another star. The Lakers have been linked to Drummond and a few other options. The Charlotte Hornets like Montrezl Harrell. In other words, the Lakers have to do a good thinking at the moment.
