Report: Raiders, Patriots Agree To Major NFL Trade

The New England Patriots will enter the NFL free agency with great plans and high expectations. Well, head coach Bill Belichick won’t even wait for the free agency to start. The Patriots head coach is on the move, and his team has already agreed to a trade with the Las Vegas Raiders.

This move announced an avalanche of changes for the Patriots. They are going big this time and Belichick won’t miss the opportunity to rebuild his roster. The Patriots missed the playoffs in 2020. Cam Newton led the team throughout the entire career, but the experiment didn’t work. New England lost too many games and finished the season with a 7-9 record. It was a bad season for everyone.

Field Yates from ESPN reported that the Patriots and Raiders have agreed to a trade that will bring offensive tackle Trent Brown to New England.

Belichick won’t give up on great assets to get the Raiders offensive tackle. He is sedning a 2022 fifth-round pick in an exchange for Brown and a 2022 seventh-round pick.

Patriots agree to a trade for a former Patriot player

Prior to the 2019 season, Brown inked a four-year deal worth $66 million. However, his time with the team didn’t go well. This past fall, Brown was rushed to the hospital in Week 8 after a pregame IV pushed air into his bloodstream.

As part of the new trade deal, the offensive tackle has agreed to restructure his contract. He signed a one-year deal worth up to $11 million. In other words, he is entering free agency following the 2021 season.

Brown has already been part of the Patriots family. He joined the 2018 team that won the Super Bowl.

Is he excited about the idea of joining Belichick and his former team?

A few minutes after the news came out, Brown took to Twitter to share his excitement.

Healthy and motivated Brown can be of great help for the Patriots. He is one of the best offensive tackles in the NFL. Will Brown get his career back on the right track with the Patriots?
