Vanessa Bryant Wins Crucial Lawsuit Regarding ‘Unauthorized’ Sharing of Kobe Bryant Crash Photos

Vanessa Bryant scored a big win. The widow of Kobe Bryant tried to stop the unauthorized sharing of crash photos.

Today is an important day for the Bryant family and this win will ease some of their pain.

“Vanessa Bryant can obtain the names of four Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies who her lawyers allege in a lawsuit shared ‘unauthorized’ photos of the site of the helicopter crash that killed her husband, Kobe Bryant, their daughter and seven others, a federal judge ruled Monday,” wrote Richard Winton of the Los Angeles Times.

“U.S. District Judge John F. Walter rejected an effort by Los Angeles County lawyers to keep the deputies’ names under seal in the lawsuit. They argued that releasing the names would make the deputies’ addresses and other personal information only a click away on the internet and that hackers could target them. The ruling means Vanessa Bryant’s lawyers can add the deputies’ names and details from the internal affairs investigation about their conduct to an amended complaint in her civil rights lawsuit against the county and the Sheriff’s Department led by Alex Villanueva.”

People respect Kobe Bryant, stopped sharing crash photos

Kobe, his daugher Gianna and seven others died in a deadly helicopter crash last January in Calabasas.

The whole thing started when Vanessa filed a lawsuit. She aimed at a Los Angeles County sheriff and his department for using the photos of the crash.

Kobe’s death took its toll on poor Vanessa. However, she also wanted to provide comfort to those who were close to her beloved husband.

Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka said Vanessa would call him and share photos of the Black Mamba when Pelinka was feeling down during the Lakers’ championship race inside the bubble in Orlando.

The 2019-20 Lakers team honored Kobe and paid tribute to his greatness. The championship win was the best tribute ever.
