Anthony Davis Makes 2 Big Statements After Return

Los Angeles Lakers superstar Anthony Davis missed too many games and he is ready for his return. The big man missed a lot of time due to his calf injury. He is also treating tendonosis in his Achilles tendon. Well, AD is relieved now. He talked to reporters about his return following the game against the Dallas Mavericks. Davis isn’t really worried about the loss and said, “Long time coming.”

LA had a 21-6 record when Davis suffered his injury against the Denver Nuggets on Valentine’s Day. They have gone 14-18 without Davis. LeBron James is also out. He is dealing with a high ankle sprain.

Davis played just 16:40 and scored four points on 2-for-10 shooting in the first half of the game. Davis talked about his game for more than eight minutes in the virtual press conference. He said two great things and this is related to the remaining 13 games of the regular season.

Anthony Davis to get the best of his return

AD talked about his injury and his ability to fit next to big man Andre Drummond. Well, will Drummond fit next to Davis?

Kevin Durant tore his Achilles and sat out an injury similar to Davis’ issue.

“If I am in that front office now, that is my nightmare,” one East general manager said. “They’re taking all the precautions. But it has got to be on their minds. And it has got to be on his mind, and I worry that is going to limit him, mentally.”

Davis wasn’t concerned about his injury.

“I didn’t think about it one time tonight. Honestly, I just went out there and played. It kind of limits what you do if you are out there thinking about your injury, so I just went out there and played and not think about it. Just go out there and have fun and be excited to be back out on the floor, that was my main thing. I was just excited to be back out on the floor with the guys. I never thought about it, I never—it didn’t limit any moves, wasn’t hesitant with anything. So that was a good sign for me.”
