Ben McLemore Sends Strong Message to Lakers with Latest Instagram Post

The Los Angeles Lakers made another move and this time the roster looks a lot different. Ben McLemore is the latest addition for the team and he has the perfect message for Lakers fans and players.

The newly-added player took to his Instagram account to deliver a message. I mean, he signed with the team days after the Rockets released him.

Laker nation!!! Can’t tell you how DAMN excited to join y’all and help wherever I can. #nuffsaid,” McLemore noted on an Instagram Story post.

He also reposted a message reading, “mission I accomplished mission II.”

Ben McLemore has a message for Lakers fans and doubters

McLemore shared a photo of himself wearing a Lakers jersey.

Shams Charania from The Athletic reported that McLemore will stay with the Lakers for the rest of the regular season. He turned down many offers, including one coming from the Milwaukee Bucks.

“McLemore gives the Lakers additional three-point shooting and wing depth with opportunity to compete for a title,” Charania tweeted. “The sharpshooter had a host of interested contenders, including the Milwaukee Bucks.”

The Lakers didn’t really make a move ahead of the trade deadline. They signed Andre Drummond in the buyout market and picked up McLemore. LA had to wait for the veteran guard to go unclaimed through waivers before they could sign him.

The Lakers wanted McLemore for his shooting. LA struggled shooting the ball from long range and ranks 23rd in three-point percentage at 35.4%.

“He’s a guy that we had to know where he was at all times in that Houston series [during the 2020 playoffs] because he’s such an elite shooter,” Vogel said after the Lakers’ win over the Raptors. “Like I said, we’re trying to win a championship here. So, as much firepower as we can get, as many weapons as we can get we’re going to try to get. Ben instantly elevates our ability to knock down threes on the backside when double teams come and to play the drive and kick game that the modern NBA is made on. So, we’re thrilled about his addition and looking forward to getting him into some minutes and into our program.”
