Bold Cam Newton Trade Proposal Brings Jimmy Garoppolo Back to New England

Is Jimmy Garoppolo making his way to the New England Patriots? Several reports have linked the veteran quarterback to his former team. Head coach Bill Belichick traded Garoppolo but he may soon work with his former quarterback. At least one expert believes that the Patriots will try to get Garoppolo.

Josh Schrock from NBC Sports has a nice proposal for the team. He said that the Patriots will work on a deal with the Atlanta Falcons for the No.4 pick. Instead of taking one of the quarterbacks in the draft class, the team may pull out a shocking scenario. The Jacksonville Jaguars will probably take Trevor Lawrence, the New York jets get Zach Wilson, and the San Francisco are getting Mac Jones Mac Jones to replace Garoppolo, the Patriots will get tight end Kyle Pitts.

This deal will give the team one of the best tight end rooms in NFL history. Imagine Pitts, Jonnu Smith and Hunter Henry on the same field. An excellent group for Newton, right?

Jimmy Garoppolo to come to New England

Wait, there’s more. Schrock deals Newton and the team’s No.46 pick to San Francisco for Garoppolo. Here’s that he suggests:

“The Mac Jones era in San Francisco is underway, and while Kyle Shanahan and John Lynch have said they want Garoppolo to be the guy in 2021, the Patriots give them enough to part ways with the oft-injured starter. Belichick sends the 49ers his second-round pick (No. 46 overall) and Cam Newton, giving the 49ers a veteran backup for Jones, in exchange for Garoppolo. The 49ers take the No. 46 pick and select Rondale Moore, giving Jones the shifty slot receiver the rookie will need in order to maximize his success in Year 1. The Patriots are back and it’s a new era in the Bay.”

Belichick may be interested in revamping the offense. Add Pitts, Smith, Henry, Nelson Agholor, Kendrick Bourne, and James White to the mix. Impressive, right? Belichick knows what he is doing… Let’s see how will the team pull out the new draft.
