Former NFL Star Thinks Robert Kraft Took A Shot At Bill Belichick

The New England Patriots didn’t really have much success with their draft prospects over the years. 2020 rookies had poor performance. The same applies to most of the players who entered the team through the draft door. Team owner Robert Kraft discussed some of the moves Bill Belichick made in the past few seasons. Did he just criticize the Patriots head coach?

Kraft provided a honest assessment to recent draft moves. He discussed the Patriots’ draft history. Well, it was a bit harsh.

“I don’t feel we’ve done the greatest job the last few years…” Kraft said. “I’ve seen a different approach this year.”

Robert Kraft to see more from Bill Belichick

Kraft has every right to make comments of this type. His team didn’t draft top players in the past few years. Some of the rookies had to go. Belichick did the right moves, but Kraft doesn’t seem to be happy with any of it. Well, that’s what most NFL fans said following Kraft’s interview.

Former Indianapolis Colts star Jeff Saturday is an ESPN analyst these days. He played against Belichick’s Patriots in multiple occasions. Saturday was far from happy with the comments Kraft made.

“I think Bill needs to walk into Mr. Kraft’s office and lay out their record over the past 10 years and the Super Bowls in ’14, ’16, ’18,” Saturday said on Get Up!via NESN.com.

“Think about how good this team has been and you’re going to take a shot at how well they’ve drafted. I mean, I think this is a ridiculous comment. If you look at their draft, has it been impressive? How do you describe that? I think the wins are what we’re all going for.”

Kraft shared his thoughts. I mean, the man owns the team and he has every right to speak his mind. But, this was a little bit too harsh. Belichick led the team to six Super Bowls and three other appearances. That’s not something you underestimate. Belichick is a winner.
