The New England Patriots will probably see some changes in jersey numbers. Some players may get their college numbers back. Kyle Van Noy was among the first to hint at a potential jersey switch. Will James White do him a favor? The Patriots will have to adjust the gameday program. There are new players on the roster and this will lead to even greater changes. Veteran wide receiver Julian Edelman hinted at a potential jersey number switch. NFL fans had a lot of fun.

The NFL plans to relax its uniform number regulations before the start of the new season. Quarterbacks specialists, and offensive/defensive lineman will have to follow current restrictions. However, players at all other positions will get a wider range of uniform numbers to choose from.

When it comes to Edelman, he can wear the number he wore in his playing days at Kent State. The wide receiver “teased” a potential jersey number change Wednesday. The 2018 Super Bowl MVP took to Instagram to deliver his message.

Julian Edelman to win games despite his jersey number

There’s almost zero chance for Edelman to wear No.1. Cam Newton is back with the team and he will probably wear his old number. If Edelman really wants to have his college number, maybe the quarterback will be open to switch to No.1 which the signal-caller wore at Auburn.

Edelman is set to hit the field with the Patriots this season. He may wear No.1 or No.11 but fans are only interested in something else. Will Edelman really play with the team? Will he go somewhere else? Maybe the Tampa Bay Buccaneers?

Seeing Edelman reunite with Tom Brady is a big deal. But the Patriots have yet to make a decision on their veterans. Edelman is under contract and he will probably enter the new season as a Patriot.
