Patriots Reportedly ‘Working’ On Significant Quarterback Trade

The New England Patriots will probably make a few big moves in the offseason and they are also expected to agree to a big quarterback trade. The team has shown interest in many players. Recent rumors have linked the organization to one of their former players. New England looks really good at the moment though. Head coach Bill Belichick signed excellent players in free agency. He signed Cam Newton to a one-year deal, too. The veteran quarterback will be working with a talented group of players, including Jonnu Smith and Henry Hunter.

According to one source, the Patriots are working on a big move at quarterback. The team may finish the deal ahead of the NFL Draft.

Dale Arnold from NESN said that the Patriots may create a new deal for San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo.

The Patriots are close to sealing the quarterback trade deal

San Francisco placed Garoppolo on the trade block ahead of the big draft. The team has the No.3 overall pick. San Francisco will probably get a quarterback on Thursday night.

New England seems like a big destination for Garoppolo. The clock is ticking and his time is probably up.

“It won’t surprise me if the Niners make Jimmy Garoppolo more available than he’s been. In other words, instead of trying to get a first-round pick for him, maybe considering taking a two for him. I wonder if the Patriots would deal the 46th pick in the draft, or their second-rounder in 2022, for their old friend,” Peter King wrote on Sunday.

Arnold reported that Belichick and his team are close to an official move for the veteran quarterback.

“Same source who correctly told me Tom Brady had signed with Buccaneers. Doesn’t mean it will get done, but they’re working on it,” he reports.

New England enters the draft with the No.15 overall pick. They have been considered a top option for Garoppolo. Belichick may not get a quarterback if he wants Garoppolo on the team.
