Two Teams Patriots Have Reportedly Contacted About A Trade

The New England Patriots have been linked to several players in the offseason. Head coach Bill Belichick spent a lot of millions in free agency. Will he get more players in the upcoming draft? NFL experts have several proposals for Belichick’s Patriots and their potential trade moves.

In the past 24 hours, several reports suggested that the Patriots will move up in the first round of the draft. Wonder why? Belichick will do his best to get a quarterback.

Belichick got Cam Newton back and offered him another one-year deal. But, this doesn’t mean that Newton will stay around for too long. Newton is aging and he can’t be a Patriot forever. Belichick has to think of the future and fill up the empty spot. Tom Brady is gone and he is not coming back. New England needs a replacement for the greatest of all time.

Jarrett Stidham is under contract with the Patriots. Belichick gave him a chance but Stidham failed to impress the team. That’s why the Patriots have to find another player.

The Patriots to trade up

Trevor Lawrence and Zach Wilson will be the first two quarterbacks to join NFL teams in the draft. The San Francisco 49ers haven’t made any comments about their future move. They have the third pick and most experts say they will probably get Mac Jones or Trey Lance.

Justin Fields will be on the board if the Patriots want to move up. Of course, the team will have to give up on many assets to get him. Tom Pelissero said that the Patriots are probably focused on the Ohio State quarterback.

“Several teams have been making calls about getting into the top 10 of next week’s NFL Draft — including the Patriots, who could have their eyes on Ohio State QB Justin Fields if he begins to slide,” Pelissero reported.

Belichick is following several options. He followed young quarterbacks on their Pro Days and has the perfect plan.

Let’s see how will the head coach handle the upcoming draft. Belichick has to address several topics.
