Andre Drummond Reveals Why LeBron James Pulled Him Aside During Lakers-Kings Game

Andre Drummond joined LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers to win games. He became a Laker to win a championship. However, things won’t go that easy. The Lakers entered the 2020-21 NBA season as the best team in the NBA. General Manager Rob Pelinka signed a bunch of great players in the offseason. Dennis Schroder and a few other guys signed with the team. They were great.

Anthony Davis suffered an injury on Valentine’s Day and returned a couple of weeks ago. His return to the team wasn’t of great help. The Lakers lost too many games in the regular season. LeBron suffered an injury, too. He had to miss six weeks and his team continued losing games.

LeBron is back now and he has played his first game with the team. The Lakers went against the Sacramento Kings and lost 110-106. Lakers players missed their leader. They got out of control. LeBron holds everyone together. In his first game since the recovery, LeBron, Davis, Drummond and Ben McLemore were the only players to score more than 10 points. The rest of the guys struggled to score. They “enjoyed” their night off.

Andre Drummond to help LeBron James lead the team

Drummond talked to LeBron during the game and now we know more about this convo.

According to sources, LeBron pulled Drummond aside during the game to tell him to hold his screens rather than “slipping out too early.” Drummond said they talked about their pick and roll chemistry prior to the big game.

LA had a slow start and players heated up offensively in the second quarter of the night. They led by 11 at one point of the game, but the offense struggled in the fourth quarter. They lost the game.

LeBron played his first game in a month. He finished the night with 16 points, 8 rebounds, and seven assists in 32 minutes of action. Drummond added 17 points, seven rebounds, and two blocks.

LA clings to the fifth seed in the conference. they are half a game ahead of the Dallas Mavericks and a full game ahead of the Portland Trail Blazers.
